Objective
To create an accurate and user friendly map of the Fanshawe London main campus.
This is one of my earlier projects from my first semester at Fanshawe College. The goal was to create a clear and useful map of the main London campus. For this assignment a Fanshawe brand guideline was given and followed closely in order to adhere to any predetermined rules. The illustration was completed in Adobe Illustrator and later compiled in InDesign.
Projects requirements stated that all parking lots and buildings be labeled. In addition, popular and useful areas were required to be shown by their custom graphic icons.
Audience
The intended audiences are students, faculty and other visitors navigating across the large campus. This map would be placed in prominent areas like the parking entry booth, hallway junctions and large common areas as well as digital spaces like the Fanshawe website and automated emails to new students.

Simple icons, and limited colours keep this map format less overwhelming. Fanshawe College’s brand guidelines were respected for the creation of this project.

Designed to advertise the Fanshawe Student Life campaign, this poster series uses student photography from campus, and incorporates the main logo to create a visually interesting composition.
