Packaging is important. Consumers appreciate ease and familiarity and this Kleenex package re-design solves that.

Package Re-Design – Project Summary
Same feeling, smaller package.
Objective
To redesign a common packed product to be appealing and useful based on the products nature. The goal of this project was to work with physical packages to gain an appreciation of package design and everything that goes into a well designed box.
Process
After choosing a travel Kleenex package, I started by researching other small package types and came across a box style that opened like a drawer. I knew that the box itself had to feel good in the users hands and as such the drawer needed to feel sturdy and boast fun messaging. I decided to include a “replace me” message inside the dispenser window slot. This package was designed down to the millimeter to fit a standard travel Kleenex package so mocking this up was a breeze.
A package made from recycled materials and designed to be reused.
With the familiar look of a larger tissue box, this miniature version replaces the less appealing pocket style package.
Previously sold in a plastic pouch, this new style allows for recycling and reuse. Made from recycled materials, this small box has a similar footprint to the previous package. With a removable cartridge with a gentile “replace me” message, and an easy dispense plastic opening, this new style box remains familiar, portable and versatile.
